Zentld.com ("ZenTLD™") has created this Privacy Policy ("Policy") to demonstrate its firm commitment to privacy and explain how the Site uses information collected from visitors. In adopting this Policy, the intent is to balance the Site's legitimate business interests in collecting and using personally identifiable information and visitors' reasonable expectations of privacy. The following discloses the information gathering and dissemination practices for ZenTLD.

Definitions

The ZenTLD application itself collects no data

The ZenTLD macOS application transmits no data, contacts no servers, stores no analytics, and contains no telemetry. Everything the application does happens locally on the user's Mac. This Policy applies to the website at zentld.com, not to the application binary.

Non-Personally Identifying Information

Information Collected from Visitors

ZenTLD collects certain information from all Visitors that is not personally identifiable. This information includes, but is not limited to, the user's Internet service provider (ISP), Internet protocol (IP) address, including applicable location, Internet browser type and version, and operating system (OS). Other information collected includes the date and time of a Visitor's exit and entry on the Site, the names and addresses of referral sites, the specific pages a Visitor chooses to visit on the Site, and certain search terms that a Visitor may have employed to find the Site. This information is captured only via standard web server logs and is retained for routine operational and security purposes.

Use of Information from Visitors

Information collected from Visitors is used for purposes of internal reviews, including, but not limited to, traffic audits, tailoring of pages to a particular user's technology environment, analyzing traffic and search trends, generating aggregate demographic information, and general Site administration. This aggregated data is anonymous and does not allow third parties to identify any Visitor personally.

Personally Identifying Information

Registration by Children Prohibited

Pursuant to the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 (COPPA), ZenTLD generally does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under thirteen (13) years of age. Upon notice that ZenTLD has inadvertently collected personally identifiable information from a child under thirteen, ZenTLD will take all reasonable steps to remove such information from its records as quickly as reasonably possible.

Information Collected from Customers

ZenTLD may allow Customers to voluntarily provide certain types of personally identifiable Content when they email us for commercial license inquiries, accessibility feedback, or support, such as, but not limited to, name, email address, postal address, country of residence, and similar identifying information.

Communications with Customers from ZenTLD

Information collected from Customers may be used by ZenTLD for purposes of communicating with Customers, including, but not limited to, corresponding via email in response to Customer inquiries, providing services a Customer may request, and otherwise managing a Customer's account or inquiry. ZenTLD does not send promotional mailings as a matter of course and does not sell or rent contact information.

Use of IP Addresses from Customers

IP addresses collected with personally identifiable information may be employed by the Site for identity, safety, and security purposes. Such uses include, but are not limited to, identifying specific Customers or preventing access to the Site based on a Customer's IP address.

Additional Terms

Security

ZenTLD employs commercially reasonable security methods to secure Customers' privacy, including, but not limited to, third-party encryption of website traffic via TLS, password-protected file systems, and similar means of protection, designed to protect the loss, misuse, and alteration of information under the control of ZenTLD. While ZenTLD takes commercially reasonable security precautions, the Site is not responsible for data breaches of third parties, such as email providers, web hosts, or content delivery networks.

Third Party Websites

This Policy applies only to information collected by ZenTLD. The Site may contain links to other third party websites that are not owned or controlled by ZenTLD, such as the website of Varyence, Inc. at varyence.com. These sites control their own privacy practices and are not bound by this Policy. ZenTLD is not responsible for the information or services provided on third party sites, nor is it responsible for the privacy practices or content of their sites.

Cookies and consent

A cookie is a small text file that is stored on a user's computer for record-keeping purposes. The Site uses cookies set by Google Analytics for aggregate traffic measurement, as described in the section below. When you first visit the Site you will see a cookie banner asking for your consent. Until you accept, no Google Analytics cookies are set and no analytics data is recorded for your session (Google Consent Mode v2, with all storage categories defaulted to "denied"). You can change your choice at any time using the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer. The Site does not set advertising cookies. Cookies may be used in the future for technically necessary purposes such as remembering language preferences. If that changes, this Policy will be updated.

Google Analytics

This Site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate visitor traffic patterns, such as which pages are most visited and which countries visitors come from. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser and collects information including your IP address, browser type, device type, referring URL, and pages visited. Google may use this information to improve its services. IP addresses are anonymized by Google before storage. ZenTLD does not use Google Analytics for advertising and does not link analytics data to personally identifiable information. Your use of Google Analytics is subject to the Google Privacy Policy. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Bot Detection (Google reCAPTCHA)

This Site uses Google reCAPTCHA v3 to distinguish legitimate visitors from automated bot traffic. reCAPTCHA collects hardware and software information from your browser, such as device and application data, and sends it to Google for analysis. By using this Site you consent to this processing. reCAPTCHA may set cookies in your browser. Your use of reCAPTCHA is subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. ZenTLD receives only a confidence score for each page view, used to monitor abuse. No reCAPTCHA data is used for advertising or shared with third parties beyond Google.

Disclosure

ZenTLD reserves the right to disclose your personally identifiable information as required by legal mandate, including, but not limited to, compliance with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process lawfully served on ZenTLD. Disclosure may also occur in order to prevent or report suspected fraud or suspected illegal activities. ZenTLD may also disclose information in other circumstances that ZenTLD believes in good-faith requires disclosure.

Ownership of Data

ZenTLD may use or employ any personally identifiable information that may be collected. Such information may be used for any legal purpose, which may include marketing purposes. Were ZenTLD or its parent company Varyence, Inc. to engage in a business transition, such as a merger, acquisition, or sale, your personally identifiable information may be among the assets transferred.

Opt-Out and Modification of Provided Information

Customers may opt-out of communications from ZenTLD at any time by emailing help@zentld.com. ZenTLD will provide a method via which Customers may request that their contact information be modified or removed.

Privacy Policy Modifications

ZenTLD retains the right to modify this Policy at any time, and changes shall become effective immediately upon publication. While ZenTLD may notify Customers of changes, each Customer is obligated to review this Policy on a regular basis.

ZenTLD is committed to providing an accessible online experience for all users. We strive to follow recognized accessibility guidelines, including the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, and regularly update our website to improve usability.
